Doctor Who: The Daleks 1964
That absolutely did not need to be 7 episodes long. Luckily the Daleks are so entertaining. Especially early Daleks, who deliver drinks on trays and shoot you with beams that make your legs feel tingly.
Also the Doctor is an asshole and never seems to really know what's going on, which is a surprisingly compelling characterization.
