  As a Dumas stan, I’m thrilled to see any of his books get a big budget production in their original context and language - especially the Three Musketeers - so it’s not surprising to say that my unmet expectations were way too high.  

  Pros: Excellent costume and production design. The people, their hair, and their clothes look worn and dirty, as they ought to.  Gorgeous shooting locations and sets. Impressive fighting choreography with minimal edits. 

  Cons: Extremely silly at times.…
