This shits pretty stupid but that’s what makes it good. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, it’s almost a parody of movies like Annabel or The Ring because the mysterious haunted item is a fucking toy monkey. Most of the kills were pretty creative but nothing that will stick in your head for a long time. Entertaining watch but the characters aren’t great. But don’t call it a fucking toy monkey it’s the devil.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs 2018
Out of the 6 short stories in the movie I like 4 of them. In order from favorite to least favorite they were 5,1,4,2,3,6. The 3rd short story fell very flat for me, I thought the concept was good but the execution could have been better. If the characters had some more dialogue outside of the “performance” to allow me to understand how they got in this position and to empathize for the characters more, it would’ve engaged me more.…
