    “I don't know if you're a detective or a pervert.”

    A dude’s story about an icky dude getting embroiled in the abusive infrastructure of worse dudes. At the very least it’s incredibly upfront about its protagonist’s unpleasantness. I found it compelling, handsomely-made, weird and funny besides.

The inexplicable running time makes the standout moments feel fewer than Arrival or Sicario, but does allow for three separate homages to Blade Runner's ludicrous "computer, enhance" scene. The reasonably languid original feels lean in comparison.
