  Havent really watched many anthology type movies but this escapes some of the issues I have with anthologies generally. There is a thematic and tonal throughline that can be drawn through the stories that I really like. Yorgos somehow makes stuff thats unsettling and weird and in this case bordering on fantastical but somehow there is a emotional center to the movie. Theres like a deep sadness to the 1st and the 3rd that is somewhat insiduous but also pleasant.…

  Appreciate the anthology format for these stories, art styles and animation felt different enough with themes and subject matters also being different enough between all three.

  First story in particular was really gripping, I feel like theres plenty of space exploration media thats been embedded in popular media for years and this takes that foundation and does really interesting things thematically and visually that make it so memorable. Unfortunately stories 2 and 3 are much less compelling for me but altogether an interesting experience.

  I get that we dont like tiktokers and all but I lowkey like this better than the original. I think the gender dynamics make the premise a bit less creepy in this and the perfomances are all pretty serviceable. I cant forgive the dance numbers though.

I dont know if thats necessarily what the intention was when writing but the awkwardness and the need to perform and the competitive elements just reminded me so much of that.
