A prequel to the popular hunger games series that did not catch my fascination or imagination.
The film follows a clear narrative, people picked, people fight, and then the consequences. It was an entertaining film, but at points felt slightly sloppy.
The hunger games is often viewed about being about the hunger games, and people missing the political allegory, but I failed to be compelled by the characters. Perhaps that is the prequel curse…
