Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke

This is truly THE definitive retelling of the Franke story. I get the vibe that the filmmakers REALLY wanted to (correctly) let Kevin Franke have it for being an enabler (and even active participant) in Ruby’s vile shit for years, and am a bit disappointed they didn’t.

Still cannot believe this is so much worse than even the most graphic retellings of this would have you believe.

If you’re on the fence about watching this, it’s been approved by Franke…

I’m not really adding anything new here beyond saying that the lack of U.S. distribution for this film is sickly ironic given the struggle to spread the message WITHIN the film

I’m not going to be cute in my review here. Please go see this if it comes to your town.

I cannot fucking believe Alex Jones shilled his supplements at his own trial. The way I lost my mind, paused, and rewinded because I thought I fucking imagined it?!?!?!

“Oh, what house is she - Hufflepuff?”
    “SHE’S A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE.”
    “Oh... Slytherin.”

    Edit:
It’s pretty wild that there’s been one guy who kept commenting for four and a half months on this review and getting his followers to do the same lmao. Scoob’s fine. I laughed a few times. I had fun. Letterboxd is currently full of normal, level-headed people who obsess over other people’s takes for months. It’s great here.
