Visually, this movie reminds me of a pharmaceutical ad, but it does a lot to explain the childhood context of known masculine villain, John Lennon.

They did an adequate job showing how creepy his relationship with his mom was by filling their scenes with uncomfortable tension, attraction, and jealousy, but they definitely chickened out on showing how bad that relationship actually was. This movie convinced that someone should watch it.

I don't think I've ever been so gung-ho about being in charge, but I've lived a long time with a lot of expectations about my role as a man.

The last few years have all been about learning just to be Ken and nothing more, letting the rest be discovered along the way.
