  Perfect Blue is a film that is dear to my heart. I love Satoshi Kon’s exploration of identity, more particularly dissociative identity. This film deals with the hard grit of reality that comes alongside fame, and unravels into a delightful amount of chaos. Every frame in this movie contains the colour red, which I absolutely love. Each expositional image carries great importance, and I find myself noticing more foreshadowing details each time I watch. The motifs Kon uses are carefully intertwined towards the main conflict within the film - this is as much as I can say without revealing the plot.
