    Little Forest: Winter/Spring

A warm hug composed of 6 dishes. A soft & intimate film for the snowy/blossoming season.
    . . .
I have recently gotten back into cooking, mainly due to my growing fondness for jazz, especially whilst working in the kitchen.
I had once loved to cook as a kid. Quite literally being a little chef and I was pretty good too! I used to wake up early to make breakfast for my family, prepared other meals of the day, I watched…

    Isle of Dogs

    Long live stop motion.
Never thought dogs could look & sound so expressive. Love the design of all the characters sm; especially Atari. The film has everything I love/ like about film. Stop motion animation, symmetry, well-developed characters, keen cinematography, a good soundtrack, a good script, teeny details , exudes multiple emotions , japan, and obviously Wes Anderson. This might be my new favorite W.A movie...well it’s so hard to only pick one :’

This film made me change my perspective on many things...Shunji Iwai is truly a great director/writer and this is for sure one of my favorites of his works. The soundtrack was so good too and the band featured in the film "Yen Town Band" has great music (one of my favorite bands now). The film was also very deep and fun at the same time, loved it.

    Fantastic Planet

A bizarre and artistic film. The animation style was very inventive and creepy at times. It’s one of those strange cult classics. It has a very symbolic meaning too... perhaps what mankind is and what it is to others. How the animation was made (them being all pencil drawn cutouts) is very interesting too. Considering how old films used to animate and how much longer it took is amazing. The instrumental music brings the movie all together.
