Difficult but interesting French thriller about a private detective’s obsession with a serial killer (a truly great performance by Adjani). The narrative takes a few too many twists and turns but it’s a really unique film that does get you wrapped up.

The Road to Fort Alamo 1964
Bava’s best western has a solid plot about bank robbers pretending to be cavalry men who then get caught up in an actual cavalry mission and some great stylish sequences. Ken Clark isn’t great but he isn’t awful either. Also worth noting that the opening sequence in THE WILD BUNCH seems to have been lifted from this.

A Man Called Tiger 1973
The star power of Jimmy Wang Yu elevates this average Golden Harvest title thanks to Yu’s physicality and natural charisma. The first half hour is great but the final act gets caught up in the muddled plot and a gambling sequence is unnecessarily drawn out. That being said, the final axe fight is fantastic!
