  Bad Luhrmann films are always so captivating because they feel like intricate, themed Mardi Gras Parades. Hokey and gaudy on the surface but when infused with enough joy and eye candy it’s hard not to get swept up in the fun. However he forget to get the permit for this parade leading to a horrific series of car crashes (yada yadaing his theft of black music, running head first into every trope skewered by Walk Hard 15 years ago, post Covid Tom Hanks buffoonery) that makes this film the must watch disasterpiece of the year.

  A film about love, race, gentrification, the nature of violence… but at the day it’s all about the JETS baby love the JETS get a home run baby let’s go JETS.

Following
