    Snow White

On a positive note, this film is musically strong and Rachel Zegler’s talent shines bright. There’s not alot to praise beyond that, however. There are a number of noticeably bad acting performances in this, the most notable of which being Gal Gadot’s. With that, despite being based on such a well loved classic, it manages to feel narratively messy throughout. I saw the BBC say that this film had a “major identity crisis” and I can’t help but agree. It tries to be a reimagining and remake at the same time but never truly decides which it will be.

An incredibly well written political drama about deceit, corruption, and a healthy amount of b*tchiness.

    52 Week Movie Challenge:

    3. Low Budget, Big Box Office - ‘The Blair Witch Project’

On a rare occasion, this film created suspense and instilled fear. For the most part, however, it is a fairly boring film that follows three incredibly obnoxious characters as they complain and argue with one another. It’s impressive, in a way, that only has an 81 minute run time still had me wondering when it was going to be over.

    25. 25th Anniversary this Year - ‘Notting Hill’

‘Notting Hill’ has everything you could want from a Rom-Com. It is incredibly funny with a romance that you can’t help but route for. It also has two extremely charming leads, as well as a cast of lovable side characters. There are plenty of ups and downs, and a fantastic chase scene to end.

Everyone wants to be just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her (especially is that boy is 90s Hugh Grant).

My new dream job: film journalist for horse and hound.
