Knives Out 2019
Scratches the perfect itch for anyone who likes murder mystery or the board game Clue. Movies with a big celebrity cast are usually a hit or miss and I would say this one was for sure a hit. Good combination of personalities and dialogue. Can’t say it was the most surprising ending in the world, but still entertaining to watch, especially with others.

God I love Jack Nicholson. I cannot look away when he’s on the screen. What a perfect role for him. I’ve never read any Stephen King novels, so the plot of The Shining was unknown to me. What a disturbing combination of paranormal activity and domestic violence. The movie seemingly being from Wendy’s point of view made my heart race. Trying everything to have a loving and normal family, but no matter what she does, her husband shuts her down.…

The Departed 2006
Not to be cliche, but how could a story of cops vs. drug king pin involving Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, and Leonardo DiCaprio not be good? They’re all so good at being intense with an unsettling comedic undertone. The boston accents alone give this movie 5 stars.
