At no point is it not obvious that Bradley Cooper directed and co-wrote this. The fact that his face is closed-up on for what feels like 99% of the film (there isn't a single scene he's not in) and that when Carey Mulligan has an emotional scene to perform we have to see her from behind and from the other side of the room, or with her hands covering her face, really irked me.
