    Castration i. employs any and all flaws to its own advantage, bolstering its witty writing and no-fuss performances. We might be watching the best film shot on a camcorder since Inland Empire, and it’s fun how often the direction takes advantage of that films strengths. At 275 minutes Castration is captivating, confidently winning my attention and heart and whetting my appetite for the forthcoming second half. 

    Castration is a low-fidelity snapshot of what it looks like to transition and love in the age of DIY hormones.
