Dark body horror comedy (imo) that threatens the audience for self acceptance, but pointing more specifically at people that shop at Erewhon
Brother the foley work and prosthetics are nuts, LOVED Demi Moore's performance. I think I'm gonna come back to this to reflect more on the writing? abt beauty as currency/addiction specifically in the Hollywood/fame as career setting in relationship to your sense of self... but that last act was so fun and ridiculous, loved that they doubled down on the cartoony and surreal direction. I think I enjoyed the lack of subtlety and wacky caricature of it all.

This was so good, absolutely a new Christmas classic for me. This is everything in the holiday spirit of making miracles happen together, Christmas magic wonderfully done. Beautifully paced and beautiful art direction, definitely going to watch this every year for my Christmas anime lineup

I love and hate this movie so much
Love the representation, love how real everything about my own Filipino American experience felt. The family dynamics, the expectations, the lying, the gaslighting, the treatment, the set. So fucking real! Even joking about the hypothetical of this morbid situation and the hysteria of it all. Absolutely loved the characters written.
