The book was better.
That being said, I do think that this movie was well done, visually. And it is good for the Osage that they had someone like Scorsese to be able to tell their story for them. But I do think he white washed it, still. The way they wanted to make you feel bad for Ernest like he wasn't a MONSTER. Because that's what he was. He didn't feel bad for his actions, IDGAF if you show him crying in a jail cell. Stop trying to make us feel like the white man was still a victim.
