  The Buffy the Vampire Slayer font in the episode of The Pink Opaque was everything. I love how Lynchian it is. And I'm convinced everyone with a bad review has never met a trans person in their entire life (that they know of).

  The Elephant Man 1980

  This was the first David Lynch film I ever watched. I was in film school and was drawn to it as a fan of 1932's Freaks. Little did I know the hold this eagle scout from Missoula Montana would have over me.

  It's wild that this was his sophomore feature after Eraserhead. What range, what brilliance, what understanding of the human condition.

  I hope David Lynch's life was full because he knew he was loved.

  Ohhhh...the bricks are a metaphor.

  I fucking loved this. The tracking shots and whip pans and blocking and audio were frantic fantastic. I also really liked when people were mean to Chevy.

  I'm a wildlife rehabber. This was so irresponsible. I wouldn't do this with one of my foster squirrels let alone an apex predator. (I also have ptsd and don't rely on animals for my mental health. I'm in fucking therapy.)

  Not faulting this movie for its low budget or poor acting. I am faulting it for terrible writing, editing, and sound. It was all just so...awkward. It's Christian movie level bad (if a Christian movie was a rape revenge story that somehow still managed to be misogynistic).

  Anyway: gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss!
