Mickey 17 had a lot and at times to much to say and said it very boldly and I enjoyed every second of it, but some seconds more than others. This movie was stuffed to the brim with ideas and messages and was hurt by that at times. Every one of this films ideas was compelling, but it never fully focused on one and that hurt it in its entirety.

The words I’ve seen to describe this film have most commonly been “devastating” or “heartbreaking”, but the only thing I felt for the majority of the film was fear and anger.
I’m Still Here was expertly made, brilliantly acted, and a stark reminder and warning.
Awards mean nothing when it comes down to it, but this should have been in the conversation for best picture not only just nominated for it.
