Shortcomings 2023
I didn't like it. I had high hopes for the movie for exploring certain themes that were current but not often dealt with face-on, but I couldn't get over my frustrations with the main character.
He has little development throughout the movie, always a frustratingly narrow minded man who can’t see behind himself but also ironically can’t see into himself either. It was painful and rather boring watching a bitter cishet man feel sorry for himself just for his race…Translated from by

May be my favorite movie now. Wes Anderson's artistry is inspiring. And a delight to the eyes. The randomness of the events, the gentle humor, the eccentricity of the characters... M.
