prepare for two highly visceral, anxiety-inducing hours :)
The audio is insane — every bullet felt like a jumpscare. I understand criticism abt how this film lacks a pov, context, and clarity, but it still manages to do a decent job at portraying aspects of trauma, obsession, desensitization, mental health decline, and, ofc, at critiquing war journalism
the scene with Jesse plemons is something else 🫣🥵

So THAT’s body horror 😳 My experience was a whiplash of shock, disgust, laughter, and unexpected sadness. First half? Art. Reminded me of scenes from Requiem for a Dream. Last act? Overkill and dragged on for a lil too long. Beauty IS pain and so was that ending lol. 100% a big screen experience — trauma bonding with strangers have never felt so…. fun!?
