  The performances were incredible but I couldn’t get past Vili Fualaau’s response to the movie. Given his story is referenced as inspiration in interviews by Todd Haynes and Julianne Moore, it goes against the point of the film to exclude him and dehumanize him in the movie’s creation. It reminds me of how Pam and Tommy was created without Pamela Anderson’s blessing. Hollywood please do better!!
