Smile 2 2024
I absolutely loved this. IDC IDC. Sure the plot is similar to the first but it’s bigger and better and IMO they had more to work with. Naomi Scott absolutely crushed this, I need her in more roles immediately. While the supernatural element is very obviously real and established within the first film, the idea of slowly losing your grip on reality and not being able to stop it was absolutely terrifying and portrayed really well here.

A Real Pain 2024
I liked this a lot - definitely not the most exciting movie ever made, but it doesn’t need to be - the subtle storytelling is appreciated and good performances from both Kieran and Jesse. Two cousins go on a trip to honor a late family member and learn a little bit more about themselves than they intended.
