The Battle of Algiers (1966) is an Italian-Algerian drama by Gillo Pontecorvo centered around the Algerian struggle for independence in the 1950s. It is a widely influential political film (i.e. being shown in the Pentagon, as we learned from our reading) and is shot in a pseudo-documentary/newsreel style.
