  A band as revolutionary and powerful as Led Zeppelin deserves a far better documentary than this. Aside from some cool archival live performances, the edit is extremely underwhelming, slow, and lacking of any flow. Transitions from music to interview or song to song feel jarring. Sometimes there is montage of events happening at the time like civil rights protests, the Vietnam War, or the moon landing, but there’s no attempt to connect Led Zeppelin to this broader context or explain…

  This was an incredible story filled with deep and unique characters just waiting to be told by the right person, and boy did Lance Oppenheim crush it. This was the first work of his that I’ve seen and I need more right now. To be able to get each subject as vulnerable as he does is truly special, especially to the degree that Jeff is literally playing himself in his thoughts and internal monologues.
