This movie is a ton of fun if you don't take it too seriously. I love Nathan Lane and Robin Williams on screen chemistry. It makes their relationship very believable.

This movie feels shorter than 3 hours. The way that oppenheimer is introduced as a charming womanizer makes his character feel very human. In other words, I relate to him because of his flaws, not despite them. The scene when the bomb is being tested is magical. The fire is so beautiful. Metropolis 1927
This is the first silent film i've seem. This means that soundtrack and the body language of the charcters must do a lot of the heavy lifting to get the plot across. This is actually a good thing because the soundtrack is so cinematic and the actors are so expressive. Some shots in this movie are still impressive today. This definitely makes the images this film conjures quite memorable. The only problem I have with this movie is the plot is kind of predictable by todays standards. Im very happy this was the first silent film I've seen.

I like all the jokes about marco being a pig. I also think that this movie is a little more grown up feeling than a lot of studio ghibli films. Its still quite family friendly, but Marco is always drinking, and smoking. I also really like how Marco feels a lot more anti-hero than most studio ghibli protagonists. He is a bounty hunter and an outlaw to the italian air force. The only problem i have is Fio is kinda a love interest and shes 17, kinda weird if u ask me. Overall tho this is a great movie.
