The plot might have worked for me if they had decided to focus either way more on the impact Chuck's emotional abuse has on his son, himself and their relationship OR focus on the cringe-comedic effect the movie tried so hard to convey and incorporate less of the tough topics.
The movie felt indecisive, jumping back and forth between serious portrayals of emotions and jokey bits with silly music.
