  Damn and I thought the second movie had random scenes that happened without rhyme or reason. This movie is slightly more coherent than it's reputed to be, but only slightly. You can just barely follow the plot, but things that feel like they should be big twists and reveals are seemingly learned by our characters offscreen (perhaps most egregiously, the whole Calypso subplot, which feels like both its exposition and culmination were left on the cutting room floor).
