    John Wick: Chapter 4

    ★★★★½

The world that the creators of 'John Wick' have developed throughout the franchise continues to intrigue me. First there was Neo, then there was Jonathan. No one else but Keanu Reeves could be John Wick. The iconic action hero doesn't disappoint in Chapter 4; the action sequences, stunts, and choreography are even more inventive - they looked and sounded spectacular in the IMAX theatre!

    Scream VI

    ★★★½

The sixth film in the much-loved franchise features some memorable sequences, a LOT more gore, and is generally better than 'Scream 5'. Having said that, the usual social commentary is waning and the moment that every Scream fan looks forward to - "the reveal" - was a big let-down for me.

Every second of this incredibly unique film is captivating. A day later and I'm still thinking about it.

At first I thought, 'Top Gun' doesn't need a sequel! I was right - it didn't. 'Top Gun: Maverick' stands on its own as a (surprisingly) fantastic film. It's miles better than the first. 'Maverick' actually has some conflict and drama to hold a story together and sustain the audience's engagement. The flying scenes on the massive IMAX screen were very impressive.
