I really enjoyed this movie, it was funny, beautifully shot and acted but also so incredibly sad at times. I watched it last night and I can’t get that ending out of my head. Do not recommend. Tries and completely fails to properly represent patriarchal societal norms. It misses the point of gender norms and problems women face nowadays. The whole movie revolves around Robert being a creep and subtlety trying to infantalize the main protagonist Margot. In the end it is almost as Margot is exaggerating every little creepy thing Robert does which only further pushes the narrative that women’s problems are mostly in their head. Amazing. Recommend this to everyone. Incredible storytelling, I watched every episode with such tension and anticipation where I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next. Even though it features some heavy topics it deals with them in such a great way where you feel every single emotion the main character felt. Amazing job by Richard Gadd and big props to him for telling this story and reliving all those terrible terrible traumas so that we can enjoy in this incredible show.
