  hm i think i understand this better now, i remember not liking the second half much. i mean its typical coen brothers pessimism so you can’t be mad about it. anton is like the ultimate antagonist for one of their movies, he’s a manifestation of the message they’re trying to get across

  kind of felt like they were doing a take on fincher’s style, everything was very clean and precise. i prefer blood simple for its rough edges but i can appreciate that as far as technique goes this is really beautiful
