It’s insane how much Quentin Tarantino loves the N-word and other racial slurs - it’s a bona fide passion for the man

I haven’t finished this yet but this is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. Matthew Broderick is a horrendous actor, everyone is a dumbass in the film, there is ZERO sense of urgency despite the fact that a 200 foot monster running through the streets of the city. What sane person is flirting/joking moments after witnessing a gigantic lizard walking down the street? The CGI is dogwater and this movie tries way too hard to be funny. It’s not even fun in a campy way, it’s just bad.

I’m a little disappointed frankly, though I’m probably a victim of high expectations to a degree. A few things are really working against this movie. One - the plot in its current form does not warrant the full length of its run time. It feels like it keeps going on forever, which is compounded by weird pacing! Two - the frequent use of (IMO) mediocre CGI broke my immersion. Fugly, flat CGI makes big portions of the movie feel lifeless…
