People always talk about whether or not he’s dreaming at the end but that’s not the real question the rel question is whether or not Cobb accepts this as reality. Mall says he can see his kids faces whenever he wants and then Cobb looks away, however now he looks because regardless of the objective truth he has accepted his subjective in this moment. Perhaps he was just tired of running.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion 1997
Watching this movie and knowing it’s a favorite of people I like was very hard on my brain. It was so confusingly unfunny it made me question whether in fact my comedy intake was broken. But then the dream sequence that makes up a quarter of the film ended and I realized nostalgia is more important than Art. The fact that Mira Sorvino didn’t win a Razzie proves that Arthur P. Razzenhouse’s ceremony has lost all meaning. If there was a vhs of this in front of me I’d spit on it.
