  적외선 카메라로 표현한 영상의 색채와 플롯의 단숨함에 자칫 오락성이 전부로 보여질 순 있겠지만, 영상이라는 매체의 한계를 전위적인 시도를 통해 기존 작가주의 틀을 파괴한다.

  22세기적인 접근으로 데빌맨을 본 것 같은 느낌. 화면 위의 색은 다르지만 테렌스 말릭의 색채가 강하게 묻어난다. araabMUZIK의 음악도 최고. 항상 그렇지만 코린의 여성성에 대한 표현은 매우 아쉽. 9/10.

  BIFF 2023
  A brilliant slow burn film that ties religious supernatural motifs together with the isolationist luddite setting (which seem to be prevalently filmed in Canada as far as I can tell; something to do with the vast land and islands?). The buildup felt very realistic, though the strong desire to be away from the mainland was often assumed. Christian Sparkes mentioned he might have taken inspiration from Take Shelter, which I can totally see and possibly why I like this film as well.

Following
