  No one does awkward, uncomfortable or anxious tension like Lanthimos. This would’ve been a 5 star film if I didn’t have to keep pausing to recover from character interactions.
  The buildup to the inevitable, and the way it ends, is both what I expected and yet not the way I could’ve predicted it happening at all. I’m also not convinced that it was fully up to chance.
  Also, Kidman’s character had every right to be angry, and imo she should have been far more enraged than she was. That guy ain’t shit.
