Mickey 17 2025
An imperfect Bong.
Though don’t be misled: imperfect Bong is still better than just about anything else out there these days…
Squarely in Bong’s more environmentally minded, fantastical vein than his dark murder movies (though Mickey 17 is filled with plenty of gory, though comical death).
A lot of themes previously explored in Okja and Snowpiercer are present here but never fully work as well as they did separately in those movies for me.

No Time to Die 2021

I wasn't expecting a great reinvention or work of art here, but I was ready and willing to accept some dumb fun here and that's certainly what I got.....sort of....ish.

The Bells of Fraggle Rock 1984
Having an entire audience all clap along to the Fraggle Rock theme without prompting or missing a beat, is a new life highlight.

After the Bite 2023
Despite the timing of its release (not to mention the conglomerate studio parentage), this should not be mistaken for the regular ‘Shark-week’ trash.
This is an actual, non-sensationalized, non-exploitative, documentary with interesting characters representing many points of view in regards to a constantly evolving complicated issue.
Highlights include several non-fiction recreations of iconic scenes from JAWS, including a town hall meeting where the townsfolk, “with all due respect” rip on the young “hippies” (re: scientists) sent from the “SHAK institute” and plead with the mayor to “take care of this SHAK problem before we lose the whole summer!”
