  Carpenter at his most maximalist. Just so much fun to see the guy who managed so  frequently to make so much with so little finally get the budget he’s always dreamed of and fuckin send it. Spy kids ass cgi is a feature not a bug. Steve Buscemi! Basketball to the death! A Christo-fascist America set on imperialist expansionism, deportations and the destruction of the global south! Bruce Campbell!!!
