Horror with classic cartoon characters?! Sign me up.

This film is inspired by one of my fav horror films: "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and I loved the bubblegum update to make things scarier (maybe too scary for the kiddos? But I lived). The animation is gorgeous, the sight gags, animation mixing, and zany comedy is such a joy that it's impossible not to smile thru the whole thing.

    Okja 2.

Pattinson is fantastic, and plays the dimwitted, yet endearing classic Bong lead character well, as well as the polar opposite. Love the ambition + world building, and you can feel the passion in every frame. I think Nic Cage as a collective dream figure was such a solid and unique idea. There's a lot of fun with that setup and Nic Cage is definitely the man for the job, delivering a fun, animated performance. This dream/nightmare concept allowed for lots of fun sequences taking full use of Cage's ecentricness.

Lots of great humor (that awkward sex scene was beyond hilarious) and the satire of it all was well thought out. I also liked that sometimes…
