    In the land of the free, a man’s “fun trip” is a woman’s pilgrimage to mania. In Anora, differing worlds and cultures come to a clash in the most visually enjoyable and entertaining way. The predictable storyline is superseded by unexpected pops of hysterical comedic release and wonderfully endearing characters (feeling mitigated about Igor, love Garnik), thus making the seemingly dull narrative, shine.
    Funny, fun, funky and fast, absolutely brilliant watch.

    Watched this on the plane back from Nice. Memorable characters. I liked the realism of the depiction of the relationships between characters shifting over time, especially between Sandra and Olivier, Sandra and Daniel and Sandra and her husband. Sandra’s portrayal is layered and multifaceted - not just based on her guilt or not. Daniel’s profoundness was touching as well. Snoop, the dog, was my favourite character.
