  Well I didn't have a Bridget Jones film making me cry on my bingo card for this year, but one scene near of the end of this led to water pouring out of my eyes. Plus, not only was it moving (deeply so at times), it was also funny (yes veering on cringey, but never too silly) and the cast such a wonderful whose who of British actors.

  To quote Irwin in the History Boys, this was 'dull, dull and exceedingly dull.' In fact I think I actually fell asleep at one point while watching it. Still, the dog was cute.

  What an incredibly disturbing film. It was clear right from the start that Nitram was out of control, with parents who were not providing adequate discipline or boundaries and almost seemed afraid of their son. And it only got more unnerving from there, with several moments that made me gasp out loud. On the casting side, Caleb Laundry Jones was phenomenal and I almost did a double take afterwards when I discovered he wasn't Australian.
