    Things I loved:
    - my brain did not stop thinking throughout, I found myself analysing the main character non-stop. maybe she’s had trauma? Maybe she’s mentally ill? Maybe she’s just lonely? Maybe she’s neurodivergent and struggled in this neurotypical world?
    - it didn’t give you the answers, I’m still thinking about it now

    Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical

Being a huge Matilda fan, I was nervous to go and see this in case it didn’t meet my expectations.
I was worried it was just another classic remake that would let me down.

I couldn’t fault this. The casting was perfection, visuals were beautiful, excellent choreography, so well directed, so slick and it was its own movie in itself.

Great to see so much diversity from the moment the film started, that’s how it should be.

I can’t wait to watch again and thank you for creating such a masterpiece.

The cinematography, editing and acting was great but the predatory/grooming made me feel beyond uncomfortable, I wish I could give this more stars but there’s something inside me that morally can’t.

Really torn between calling this a good movie that brings up important messages of what’s wrong with the adult entertainment industry or a film that crossed a line by showing this on the big screen and could verge on promoting grooming young girls, abusing their naivety and taking innocence.

This made me want to quit my job, move to the highlands, become self sufficient and build my own log cabin.

Escapism at its finest, I would like to drink tea and exchange life stories with this lovely man.
