Much darker than I expected but still funny. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is incredible and Common is a dream human being. However, my one complaint is that Common's character's name was Rafe Hines. Rafe Hines. Say it out loud. It sounds just like Ralph Fiennes. AND THEY NEVER ADDRESS THAT. LIKE SHE'S NEVER LIKE "HEY, YOUR NAME IS BASICALLY RALPH FIENNES, THAT'S WEIRD!" AND SHE CALLS HERSELF A FUCKING COMEDIAN??

This is not a movie I should have seen at night. It felt like the Rosemary's Baby of today. Strange cult with questionable beliefs, check. Family members betraying you, check. Giving up a child to the demons of hell, double check. Very slow build that leaves you with that uncomfortable feeling that you can't sit still in your movie theater seat for the entire length of the film, check check check check check.
