Ennis and Jack’s love story is forever in my sad queer heart. This film brilliantly and beautifully depicts the year and the setting of this tragedy. I watch this and ponder the stories of my ancestors trying to make ends meet. I think about the ones that may have been gay and silenced. Brokeback Mountain took me to a place beyond myself.
