    okay the orchestrations were questionable at best on the album (sooo different from the broadway cast recording), though they made more sense in context. the dubbing was also dire BUT renée rapp can do no wrong and i unironically loved it. idk how millennials will react to the gen Zification of their favourite film but i had fun!!!!!!! and that’s what mean girls is about

    Another bittersweet tale that tugs at the heart strings. Maybe it’s because Bob reminds me of my Dad. The two leads really make this film, they convincingly create three dimensional roles and this is what got it for me - I could see their lives out of context with the geography of the film. That’s what helps to create a pocket of time for the film to exist in. Not a big fan of the portrayal of Japanese culture though, something doesn’t seem qwhite right.
