i could say something funny about this movie but honestly it’s so refreshing to see a queer campy movie where its camp doesn’t necessarily revolve around being queer. queerness is integral to the plot and the feel and the jokes but it only adorns the campy high school sex comedy backdrop. it’s a film that finally doesn’t focus on the hardships of being young and queer, but rather on being a weirdo outcast who also happens to be queer. how lovely. just about every joke landed and they were current without being almost immediately dated. gen Z’s Mean Girls. such an enjoyable watch.
