  Mia Goth is a great actress, but I feel Maxine as a character fell short in terms of depth. Overall, the movie has an amazingly well-created aesthetic, but there are noticeable holes in the plot. The nods to different genres throughout the movie make it almost interesting at moments, but overall it ends up feeling like a messy conjunction that doesn’t quite add up by the end.

  If your child starts talking to the TV people just take them back… and the TV too. Also, when your whole house is getting devoured by some evil entity… idk maybe take a few less seconds to scream and instead DO SOMETHING ????? I had beef with the characters man.

  That was an effing traumatic experience which means that it’s a stupidly well made horror movie. Pays a great homage to the 1981 original yet manages to keep it somewhat new. The gore is… intense. I almost threw up - but I’m a marshmallow so take that as you will.
