    Not a review just notes:

Harrison Ford surprisingly put on one of the better performances in a Marvel movie, expected him to phone it in.

Anthony Mackie was okay, had his moments. but overall he lacks the presence or charisma of Chris Evans. Plus i just find his style of combat with the wings kind of lame and it gets bogged down by CG.

I thought the side kick character was going to be more annoying but he chilled out…

    - Michael Douglas doesn't quite work as the main. doesn't help that they put him in an unflattering helmet on a not so impressive bike for a "cool" scene. But he's kind of just unlikable in general and doesn't have that arnold macho thing going on so he doesn't have the presence either.
    - garcia was mostly just annoying but he had a really cool death scene
    - Ken Takakura was bitched out so much to the point i struggled…

Bleach the Movie: The DiamondDust Rebellion

    ★★½

The antagonist was previously murdered in cold blood by his own friends and coworkers because he had the same ice dragon as someone else.

Ichigo, the shonen protagonist that always goes it alone, stopped the movie in front of everyone to guilt trip captain Hitsugaya about going it alone.

As always with Bleach the character designs, the powers, music were all cool. That elevates it above some of these, frankly mid, recent shonen series like My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer.

Less of a review, more just notes:

    - Good performance from DeNiro, memorable scene with him bitching out a young Sean Bean.
    - first half better than the second
    - car chases extremely impressive but really long and frequent. could you have the same emotional impact with a quarter of the time.
    - didn't get massively invested in any of the characters
    - wondered why police weren't more a factor for the team, scale of road chase damage, weapon damage, kills, etc. would make it worldwide news.
    - Natascha McElhone was stunning but a little wasted as things went on.
