The Revenant 2015
This is an incredible experience. Minimal dialogue, beautiful scenery and cinematography, incredible performances where each actor gives themselves over to their characters. And an overwhelming environment of dread, vengeance, guilt, and violence that takes its time to build, slowly, and quietly.
This movie pulled me in and held me till it ended. It's visceral, intense, and if not in the scenery alone, beautiful.
