Brother, we here to become human again, to put on nice clothes and dance around and enjoy things that is not in our reality

Can confirm, the best film of last year for me, and it’s really not even close. With a piece of art that feels larger than life and a story so important, it’s hard not to value Sing Sing’s potential for such a positive impact. I cannot praise this film enough, please please please go see this in theaters!

Listen, in my humble opinion, I hope we are witnessing a complete game-changer for the medium of film with this. I have NEVER had this mixture of sensations and emotions replicated before, which is a testament to everything working so incredibly right in this film. The cinematography, the score, and the editing in particular elevate this to the stratosphere, not to mention such a devastating story that will remain unforgettable.

    The one and only

Might be a poor choice of words…but where was the sauce?? Yes I had a grand old time following along with this tonally dissonant film and ended up really enjoying the performances, but again, I just think the sauce was missing. I’m lacking the intrigue and curiousness found in many of Bong’s other entries, I don’t know. Humor was on point tho, had me grinning consistently.

Always could have more Steven Yeun

DAVID LYNCH: A YEAR IN TRIBUTE

My journey through the late Mr. Lynch’s films begins here, and let me tell you, I think I’m ready. This debut already feels creatively fully formed, I was immediately immersed in his world from shot one. I’m sure this isn’t covering new ground, but I really admired the ever-present, almost headache inducing, droning sound design. So many interpretations to pull from this self proclaimed “spiritual” nightmare, but for now I’ll say that I know this journey is going to be special. Rest in peace
